I am thrilled to announce that Sam's Theory has already found its way into an independent reading course at a Chicago-based High School! Thank you to a courageous socially-aware teacher for recognizing that her students need more intervention. When trauma occurs in someones life, it influences everything- school, work, friendships, sleep, diet, attention, energy, and family. Sam's Theory can help with all of this.
This will be Sam's first connection to teens struggling with challenging socioeconomic and social circumstances. Sam's Theory acknowledges and problem-solves issues of depression, anxiety, violence, abuse, neglect, attachment, and self-esteem. It's a great way to start a dialogue with students about self-care and connections with those around them when their world has been set up to otherwise disappoint them.
I very much look forward to see how the classroom does with Sam in the upcoming semester!
